About The Position

Join American Heritage in Salt Lake City, Utah as a part-time, hourly, front office administrative assistant and have a meaningful impact on the American Heritage School community. Under the direction of the front office manager, the front office assistant will provide critical daily engagement with, and support to, students, parents, teachers, visitors, and the administration. Ideal candidates will demonstrate a working knowledge of computers, the aptitude to learn new systems, and have strong communication skills. The ability to implement strong interpersonal skills through in-person, online, and phone communication is a must. Strong candidates must have the ability to multi-task, while maintaining complex schedules and managing administrative support. They must be resourceful, proactive, a good problem solver, organized, and able to assure completion of the assigned workload in a timely manner. Dependability and commitment to the assigned schedule is mandatory. Candidates must demonstrate an enduring love of youth and a desire to work in a faith-based atmosphere aligned with values taught by the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Candidates need to be professional in appearance and demeanor. They should also be willing and able to uphold and serve as ambassadors for the AHS Mission, Honor Code and Diversity Statement on and off-campus.

Requirements

  • The exceptional ability to listen, communicate, and work well with others, including and especially when under pressure
  • Candidates must be willing and able to multi-task efficiently, while remaining courteous and professional, maintaining strong interpersonal relationships
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced office environment; prior experience in a fast-paced office is preferred
  • Ability to receive multiple assignments and prioritize completion on a timetable
  • Superior organization skills and dedication to completing projects in a timely manner
  • Experience in Microsoft Word, Outlook, PowerPoint and Excel
  • Must be fluent in English

Nice To Haves

  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced office environment; prior experience in a fast-paced office is preferred
