Under the general supervision of the Director of Guest and Volunteer Services, the Front of House Coordinator is responsible for training and overseeing volunteers to serve as ushers, ticket takers, concessions and coat check workers. Also provides lead work direction to front-of-house staff responsible for event set-up and preparing the venue for patrons. The Front of House Coordinator must be able to make quick decisions, handle the public with aplomb and establish procedures which ensure that front-of-house staff & ushers represent the PAC in a positive and professional way. In conjunction with PAC management, ticket office staff and technical services staff, the Front of House Coordinator makes decisions regarding the building to ensure patron safety, comfort and enjoyment. This is a Part-time temporary position and is not benefit eligible. The Performing Arts Center (PAC) is a multi-performance venue for a variety of events such as symphonies, choral concerts, contemporary music, plays and other theatrical events, dance programs, recitals, opera, touring shows, commencements and community productions. Other uses include receptions, workshops, business meetings, banquets, trade shows, recording sessions, church services, art exhibitions and weddings. The PAC includes the 1286-seat Harman Hall within the Christopher Cohan Center; 250-seat Pavilion, 180-seat Philips Electronics Hall and the 500-seat Spanos Theatre.
