About The Position

The Waka Sakura Restaurant Front of House Associate is responsible for providing exceptional customer service while upholding company standards, taking/serving food and beverage to guests, and ensures to keep the workplace clean and follow health and safety regulations at all times.

Requirements

  • A high school diploma or equivalent; basic knowledge and experience of restaurant operations; or any equivalent combination of formal training and/or experience which provided the necessary knowledge, skills and abilities thereof.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business data and effectively respond to the data.
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from vendors, customers, employees, or others involved or associated in the warehouse section function.
  • Ability to work with mathematical concepts relevant to the role such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division. General knowledge of basic accounting a plus.
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
  • A valid health certificate and Alcoholic and Beverage Control (ABC) License or ability to obtain a certification/license is required for this position.
  • Knowledgeable in use of computer software applications customarily used in the job function at an appropriate proficiency level.
  • The employee is regularly required to stand for long periods of time; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee will also lift, push, pull, and/or carry 50 pounds or more. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

Responsibilities

  • Cashiering/Host: Handle money, assist guest with checkout bills, may assist guest regarding self-check in system.
  • Pantry: Assist guest that are dining in, deliver beverages, desserts to guest.
  • Busser/Waitstaff: Clears tables, Assist guest that are dining in, deliver food to guest.
  • All FOH will be assigned opening, closing and side duties, staff will also be required to assist with daily cleaning
