About The Position
Dock 17 at The City Forum is seeking an energetic, guest-focused Front of House Associate to support our high-volume restaurant and entertainment venue. This role functions as a Dining Room Attendant and is a tipped position. We are looking for individuals who take pride in hospitality, maintain professionalism under pressure, and actively contribute to a clean, welcoming, and team-oriented environment.
Requirements
- Energetic, guest-first mindset with a professional demeanor
- Ability to remain positive and efficient during peak service periods
- Strong communication and situational awareness
- Reliable attendance and schedule flexibility, including evenings and weekends
- Basic math and cash-handling skills
- Must meet Tennessee legal age requirements for alcohol service
- Must obtain and maintain a valid TABC certification
Nice To Haves
- Prior restaurant or customer service experience is preferred.
- Candidates must demonstrate a strong work ethic and commitment to guest satisfaction.
Responsibilities
- Greet and engage guests with confidence and professionalism
- Provide menu guidance and accurate POS order entry
- Verify guest identification in compliance with Tennessee alcohol laws
- Prepare and deliver food and beverages according to service standards
- Process payments accurately and balance cash drawers as assigned
- Maintain clean, organized dining and service areas
- Anticipate guest needs and respond promptly
- Communicate effectively with kitchen and front-of-house staff
- Follow all health, safety, sanitation, and alcohol service policies
