The Chief Information Officer Division (CIOD) provides a range of enabling services and operations delivery to the department and to Australian businesses and are seeking experienced and motivated Front-end developer / User interface Designers to support ongoing major projects across the Corporate and Digital Division. The roles will be responsible for driving a human-centric approach to service delivery, focusing on understanding customer, business, and technology needs and balancing these to deliver effective digital services. We are seeking experienced Front End Developers / User Interface Designers with a dual skillset, working across both disciplines to deliver intuitive, fit for purpose interfaces through a lean design process involving rapid prototyping, testing, and implementation of solutions. Candidates will work in multi-disciplinary teams to design and develop product improvements, features, user flows, user interfaces, and front-end development. You will work closely with others in the team to: help define user-centric designs, iterate and improve to add additional value, based on user feedback Be responsible for user-focused UI designs and specification of user flows, prototypes, high-fidelity interfaces Plan and perform user experience evaluation to check and confirm that usability and accessibility requirements have been met Implement UI component using HTML/CSS and JavaScript Work closely with the team’s user researcher and designers to translate findings from usability testing into improvements for the user interface Advocate and problem solve for user-centric design solutions with developers and cCoach back-end engineers on usability and front-end development As a UI Designer, you will tackle complex problems and transform them into intuitive and easy-to-use designs. Then, communicate them by user flows, wireframes, and prototypes. As a Front-end developer, you will work with developers translating and problem-solving designs, POC and wireframes into modules and high-quality codes for the best usability and accessibility outcomes.
