About The Position

The Front-End Operator is responsible for operating and monitoring the front end of Prime Line 1 and/or 2 to ensure safe, efficient production and consistent product quality. This role requires continuous observation of the process, verification of product specifications, and timely communication of any quality or equipment issues to supervision. The Front-End Operator may also support other production roles as directed.

Requirements

  • Manufacturing or production experience preferred
  • Ability to distinguish product density and color per specifications
  • Strong math and counting skills
  • Ability to follow detailed written and verbal instructions
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to multitask and reprioritize
  • Reliable attendance and flexibility to work overtime, weekends, and varied schedules
  • Comfortable working in an industrial environment with uncontrolled temperatures

Responsibilities

  • Operate the front end of Prime Line 1 and/or 2 according to work instructions
  • Continuously monitor the production process to ensure product meets specifications
  • Verify product density, color, and appearance per quality requirements
  • Respond to quality issues identified by the Quality Monitor and make front-end adjustments as directed
  • Immediately notify the Supervisor or Production Manager Trainee of suspected non-conforming product
  • Report equipment issues or malfunctions promptly to supervision and maintenance
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe front-end work area
  • Follow all written and verbal production and quality instructions
  • Assist with other production duties as assigned by management
  • Adhere to all ISO-9001 standards and controlled documentation requirements
  • Support customer quality expectations and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Communicate quality concerns and non-conforming product immediately
  • Participate in required quality and process training
  • Utilize internal systems such as SharePoint as required
  • Follow all OSHA, company, and site-specific safety policies
  • Wear required PPE at all times on the production floor
  • Report all incidents, accidents, and near-misses immediately
  • Participate in OJT training, safety investigations, and corrective actions
  • Maintain good housekeeping throughout assigned work areas
  • Follow all production floor conduct rules, including cell phone and food policies
