About The Position

Position Summary: The UI Front End Developer will be responsible for developing and implementing user interface components using Java and HTML. This role involves collaborating with the design team to create visually appealing and functional web applications. The developer will optimize applications for maximum speed and scalability, ensuring the technical feasibility of UI/UX designs. Additionally, the developer will assist in the development of new user-facing features, build reusable code and libraries for future use, and maintain and improve the website.

Responsibilities

Front end development
Collaborate with the design team to implement new features
Optimize applications for maximum speed and scalability
Ensure the technical feasibility of UI/UX designs
Assist in the development of new user-facing features
Build reusable code and libraries for future use
Work with back-end developers and web designers to improve usability
Conduct research and analysis to identify and resolve complex technical issues
Participate in code reviews and contribute to the improvement of coding standards and best practices
Collaboration with editorial, production, and data teams on experiments to improve copyediting automation
