Front-End Developer (AkamaiEdge)
About The Position
Part of remediation effort tied to CDN / WAF / SASE stack (Akamai-based). Objective: address security + performance findings surfaced in recent audit. Work closely with internal platform + cybersecurity teams. --Akamai Edge Workers - inject cookies, manage headers, secure logic at edge. --JavaScript (ES6+) - build and refactor scripts for Edge Worker functions. --Deep understanding of HTTP stack (headers, CORS, caching, cookies). --Integrate Edge Worker code with front-end risk management flows. --Troubleshoot request/response handling and session behavior across layers. --Coordinate with PWC developers (core trading platform) for interface alignment.
Requirements
- Strong JavaScript + Akamai Edge Worker experience.
- Comfortable with WAF/CDN/SASE environments.
- Can remediate and document findings from technical interviews or security reviews.
- Able to partner with back-end engineers and risk teams.
- 5 years of experience (minimum)
Nice To Haves
- Some back-end exposure (Node.js, Java).
- Financial-services or trading-platform familiarity.
- Akamai Control Center / Luna APIs / Edge log troubleshooting.
- CI/CD knowledge for deploying edge configs.
