About The Position
The Front End Cashier position at First Alternative Inc. is a vital role that serves as the face of the Co-op, engaging with customers and ensuring a positive shopping experience. Cashiers are responsible for accurately processing customer transactions, providing exceptional customer service, and informing shoppers about various programs and offerings available at the Co-op. This position requires a friendly and approachable demeanor, as well as the ability to multitask and prioritize responsibilities in a fast-paced environment. Cashiers will operate a POS system and cash register, requiring previous cash handling experience. The role also involves physical demands such as lifting up to 50 lbs, standing for extended periods, and performing repetitive tasks. The ideal candidate will maintain a positive attitude, work well in a team, and demonstrate dependability and punctuality. Weekend availability is required, and the position can be part-time or full-time, with a pay rate starting at $16.20 per hour.
