The primary responsibilities of this position involve greeting patients upon entry and managing daily front office tasks, particularly during surgery days. A critical aspect of this role is to ensure that patient charts and financial deposits are accurate, which includes performing ongoing and occasional audits to maintain compliance and accuracy. The position requires a proactive approach to patient interaction and administrative duties, ensuring a smooth workflow in a busy medical office environment. Daily tasks include preparing patient charts, scheduling appointments using the HST computer program at least two weeks in advance, and checking for updates regularly. The role also involves assisting with phone calls to patients to discuss financial expectations at least three to five days prior to their surgery. Offering payment plans in accordance with company policy is another essential duty. The front desk staff will check in patients, prepare deposits, and maintain accurate deposit logs, ensuring that all financial transactions are documented correctly. Additional responsibilities include filing packing slips, answering phones in a professional manner within four rings, scanning invoices, and charting into the EMR system. The position also requires logging chart audits and patient satisfaction scores, as well as collecting co-pays and ensuring that invoices, deposit logs, and charts are completed in a timely manner. Throughout all interactions, the staff member is expected to demonstrate a professional and courteous demeanor with patients, visitors, and colleagues, contributing to a positive office atmosphere.
