About The Position

The Front Desk Supervisor at Platinum Dermatology Partners LLC plays a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of the front office in a medical dermatology setting. This position is responsible for overseeing the front desk team, ensuring that all patient interactions are handled with professionalism and care. The supervisor will train new hires on essential skills such as check-in and check-out procedures, chart preparation, and financial transactions including copayments and patient balances. The supervisor will also be the primary point of contact for patient complaints, working closely with the manager to resolve issues and enhance patient satisfaction. In addition to managing the front desk operations, the supervisor will be responsible for confirming appointment reminder calls, preparing schedules one week in advance, and tracking key metrics such as no-shows and cancellations. The role requires a proactive approach to inventory management, ensuring that the front desk is well-stocked with necessary supplies. The supervisor will assist the Practice Manager with various projects and initiatives, contributing to the development of training tools for the front office staff. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, both written and verbal, and will demonstrate professionalism in appearance and mannerisms. A background in medical dermatology, along with supervisory experience, is preferred. The work environment is a well-lit medical office, and the position may require occasional evening and weekend shifts. Physical demands include hand dexterity for operating office equipment, mobility for errands, and the ability to lift files or paper weighing up to 20 pounds. The supervisor must also be able to manage stress effectively, as the work environment can be fast-paced and demanding.
