About The Position

The Front Desk Supervisor position is at the Hampton Inn Hershey Near the Park, which is part of the Shaner Hotel Group. Shaner Hotels is an award-winning hospitality owner-operator and management company with a portfolio of over 65 properties across 14 states and four countries. The Hampton Inn Hershey is strategically located near major attractions like Hershey Park and the Giant Center. The supervisor will be responsible for overseeing all Front Desk operations, ensuring adherence to hotel standards and maintaining a strong service and management philosophy.

Requirements

  • Minimum one year experience in a similar position.
  • Ability to satisfactorily communicate with guests, management, and co-workers to their understanding.
  • High school graduate or equivalent.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior supervisory experience a plus.
  • Some college preferred.
  • Bilingual English/Spanish a plus.
  • Knowledge of local activities and attractions appropriate for clientele.

Responsibilities

  • Be available to work a flexible schedule, including weekends, holidays, and varied shifts.
  • Maintain complete knowledge of hotel features, room types, rates, room availability, and expected arrivals/departures.
  • Handle guest complaints ensuring guest satisfaction.
  • Assist staff with their job functions to ensure optimum service to guests.
  • Monitor and maintain cleanliness, sanitation, and organization of assigned areas.
  • Present guest folios and process payments. Adhere to payment, cash handling and credit policies/procedures.
  • Other duties as assigned.
  • Responsible for supervising all aspects of the Front Desk functions, in accordance with hotel standards.
  • Direct, implement and maintain a strong service and management philosophy which serves as a guide to respective staff.
