As a supervisor, you’ll lead the frontline team that shapes each patient’s experience at Erie. Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent, with six (6) years of progressive leadership experience, including at least two (2) years supervising direct reports; OR
  • Associates degree, or two years of college, with four (4) years of progressive leadership experience including at least two (2) years supervising direct reports.
  • Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills
  • Cultural competency to work with a diverse patient population.
  • Knowledge of use of Microsoft Office suite products
  • Two (2) years’ experience in a healthcare or office setting required
  • Two (2) years’ experience in supervising direct reports required

Nice To Haves

  • Intermediate EPIC skills are a plus.
  • Bilingual is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Provides leadership and oversight to front desk staff to ensure excellent patient experiences, accurate information collection, coverage assessment, and respectful collection of patient fees.
  • Ensures operational procedures and processes are consistently implemented and adhered to by modeling professional behaviors.
  • Responsible for front office functions, including patient scheduling, rescheduling when providers call off, and maintaining efficient patient flow during registration.
  • Completes daily deposit reconciliation, ensures proper handling of petty cash, and reviews and reconciles complex billing requests raised by the team.
  • Coordinates hiring, onboarding, performance management, training, and ongoing coaching for front desk team members.
  • Serves as a main point of contact for de‑escalation, conflict resolution, and collaboration with medical, dental, and behavioral health teams, while supporting site operations and front-end revenue cycle (FERC) initiatives.
