Are you a friendly, organized, and enthusiastic individual with a passion for customer service? If so, we want you to join our team as our Front Desk Receptionist! Officially known as a Customer Relations Representative, this position offers you the opportunity to be the welcoming face of our Metamora office. In this role, you’ll manage our reception area, greet and assist our valued customers and visitors, and direct incoming calls—all while creating a positive and inviting atmosphere. Founded in 1945, the MTCO Corporation is a family-owned business headquartered in Metamora, Illinois. Our dedicated customer service, sales, technical, construction, and support personnel work collaboratively to provide high-speed Internet, TV, and Voice services to the Metamora, Washington, Germantown Hills, and Marseilles communities. We are a close-knit group of 70 individuals who value hard work and are proud of our commitment to providing exceptional customer service.

  • Welcome and assist customers and visitors by identifying the purpose of their visit, directing or escorting them to an appropriate location, and accurately maintaining records of daily walk-in interactions.
  • Process customer payments, equipment returns, and change of address requests.
  • Answer, screen, and direct phone calls; taking messages as needed.
  • Contact customers via phone call or text regarding service installation reminders.
  • Maintain the lobby and reception area, including printing and restocking marketing flyers, ensuring organized desktops, and taking care of plants.
  • Keep a daily record of staff members' whereabouts and availability.
  • Assist with company projects as needed.
  • Perform other related duties as required.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, active listening, and the ability to convey information accurately to guests, colleagues, and management.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and customer service skills; possessing a friendly demeanor, patience, and the ability to handle inquiries and complaints gracefully.
  • Basic understanding of administrative and clerical procedures.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Dependability and professionalism: reliable, punctual, and maintaining a professional appearance.
