Busy Dermatology practice seeks motivated, dependable and team oriented Front Desk Receptionist to work in our fast-paced and energized specialty practice. Must be self-motivated and able to multi-task while upholding our vision to provide compassionate service and exceptional care for our patients.

  • Provides prompt check-in and check-out services to our patients. Greeting them with a pleasant and welcoming demeanor and ensuring that all of their follow-up care is scheduled before they leave the office.
  • Completes the registration process including the verification of demographics and insurance information. Collect copays and outstanding balances as needed.
  • Manages the patient flow by communicating with the patients and with the clinical teams on any issues which may affect the timeliness of the patient appointments.
  • Performs general administrative tasks such as: emptying the shred bins, maintaining the image of the waiting room and restrooms, and distributing mail and interoffice documents as needed.
  • Provides literature to the patients as needed to ensure that they understand all aspects of their visit. This could include surgery or procedure information, lab work, or any billing details that pertain to their visit.
  • Answering the phones and providing appointment scheduling, appointment cancellation, medical records and referral information.
  • Other tasks as requested by management.
  • Excellent command of the English language including strong proficiency in English grammar, spelling, and punctuation.
  • Able to use multiple computer applications simultaneously to document in the EMR, to verify insurance, to schedule appointments, collect copays, etc.
  • Ability to listen, read, understand, and follow oral, and written instruction.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and concisely to patients both in person and over the phone.
  • Able to work a multi-line phone.
  • Ability to establish and maintain positive relationships with employees, physicians, fellow employees, and managers.
  • The employee is required to be able to stand; walk; sit for extended periods of time.
  • The employee must occasionally be able to lift and/or move up to 15 pounds.
  • all our employees to have a valid and unrestricted driver’s license.
  • Associates degree preferred.
  • Preferential consideration given to those with experience working in a medical office, however we are willing to train the right candidate for this position.
