In this vital role, you’ll help manage daily patient flow, schedule appointments, and provide top-notch customer service to every patient and visitor.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Minimum 6 months of relevant experience in a medical or office setting preferred
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Experience with patient scheduling and insurance verification a plus
  • Friendly, dependable, and professional demeanor

Responsibilities

  • Greet and check in patients and visitors with professionalism and care
  • Maintain patient flow in the waiting area to ensure timely service
  • Schedule appointments and manage the appointment system efficiently
  • Answer incoming calls, direct to the appropriate departments, or take messages
  • Verify patient insurance and collect co-pays and required documentation
  • Accurately update patient sign-in logs and post payments into the system
  • Balance and reconcile daily revenue receipts and reports
  • Assist with correspondence, memos, and other clerical tasks
  • Handle mail distribution and internal communications
  • Support COVID-19 testing appointments as needed
  • Travel between clinical sites when necessary
  • Perform additional administrative duties as assigned
