About The Position

The position involves assisting patients by providing information, services, and assistance. The role requires maintaining medical supplies inventory and performing preventive maintenance to ensure medical equipment is operating effectively. The individual will verify patient information through interviews, record medical history, and confirm the purpose of visits. Additionally, the position entails preparing patients for examinations by conducting preliminary physical tests such as taking blood pressure, weight, and temperature, and reporting a summary of patient history. The role also includes saving doctors' time by assisting with office procedures and securing patient information by completing and safeguarding medical records, including diagnostic and procedure coding, while maintaining confidentiality. The individual will counsel patients by transmitting physician's orders and answering questions, while also maintaining a safe, secure, and healthy work environment by establishing and following standards and procedures in compliance with legal regulations. Responsibilities also include keeping supplies ready by inventorying stock, placing orders, and verifying receipt, as well as ensuring equipment operates smoothly by following operating instructions, troubleshooting breakdowns, and performing preventive maintenance. The position requires updating job knowledge through educational opportunities and professional publications, serving and protecting the practice by adhering to professional standards and facility policies, and enhancing the practice's reputation by accepting ownership for new requests and exploring opportunities to add value.

Responsibilities

  • Helps patients by providing information, services, and assistance.
