About The Position

Breuckelen Athletic is a high-end training and recovery facility based in Gowanus/Carroll Gardens, Brooklyn, NY. Our mission is to provide the best training and recovery experience for members across their needs and build meaningful relationships with our members. We're not led by social likes, before or after pictures, or for trendy fixes. We focus on life and mental well-being through fitness, and promote the love the of process. We are looking for 1-2 full-time people dedicated to growing with us and in turn we’ll be dedicated to you and your development as a team member and person. This team member will be vital to the growth of Breuckelen Athletic and we're looking for someone that can take ownership, problem solve and provide best in class customer service. This role combines the best parts of ensuring all of our members have a frictionless experience, the day to day operations are smooth and ensure we're providing a high standard facility to our members. At Breuckelen Athletic everyone cleans and contributes to the success of our gym, we want employees that are willing to wear many hats and don’t have a “not my job” attitude. We aim for a great work-life balance for our team and fixed schedules, all applicants should have either evening or weekend availability.

Requirements

  • Enthusiastic, energetic, friendly and personable
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills including excellent email skills and etiquette.
  • Able to lift and move gym equipment weighing 25-45 lbs frequently and 50+ lbs occasionally
  • Able to operate in both a fast paced environment with a focus on operational (gym space + administrative) orientated work.
  • World class customer service skills
  • Works hard, multi-tasks and is a problem solver
  • Passion for the Breuckelen Athletic Brand
  • Bachelor's Degree in relevant area, that can allow you to grow with BA is preferred but not required

Nice To Haves

  • Experience as an executive assistant, hospitality, operations and/or digital marketing is a good to have but not required

Responsibilities

  • Greet every member and guest with enthusiasm and a smile
  • Work on and potentially lead operational goals and growth. Including but not limited to events, SOP's and implementation/improvements of our tech stack of platforms
  • Work on and potentially lead higher order operations projects and needs.
  • Tour potential members around the club with the goal of signing up the person for a membership
  • Answer all inquiries in a professional and energetic manner
  • Execute all opening/closing operational procedures to ensure the club runs smoothly
  • Actively participate in ensuring the club is spotless including frequent bending, lifting, and walking around the club to organize equipment and straighten up
  • Sign members up for startup sessions with our coaches
  • Support business duties including email inquiries and potentially supporting marketing and comms (social media, email, website etc)
  • Maintain regular and punctual attendance
  • Comply with all company policies and procedures
