The Front Desk Coordinator at Platinum Dermatology Partners is responsible for managing front desk operations in a fast-paced clinic environment. This role emphasizes exceptional customer service, professionalism, and efficient handling of patient interactions, including scheduling appointments and managing patient information. The ideal candidate will act as the first point of contact for patients, ensuring a welcoming atmosphere and smooth operational flow.

  • Handle front desk operations including answering phones and greeting patients.
  • Schedule appointments and address routine inquiries.
  • Prepare necessary patient paperwork before appointments.
  • Review and update patient information in the EMA system.
  • Verify insurance eligibility and prior authorization.
  • Record and collect patient copays and balances at check-in/out.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent is required.
  • Minimum 1-2 years experience in a medical office/clinic.
  • Knowledge of medical dermatology terms/CPT, ICD-10.
  • Quality written and verbal communication skills.
  • Quality mathematics skills.
  • Professional appearance and mannerisms.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Demonstrate compassion and caring when dealing with patients and co-workers.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and seek information when needed.
  • Experience using EMR systems is a plus.
  • Prior dermatology or cosmetic experience is preferred.
