About The Position

With over 35 years of service, AID Upstate is the only provider of comprehensive HIV care, prevention, and supportive services in our area, serving Greenville, Anderson, Pickens, and Oconee Counties. We provide support for the whole person, including HIV specialty and primary care, medical case management, referrals and payment assistance for medical care, health insurance premiums and copayment costs, and resources to meet everyday needs of those living with HIV such as our food pantry, transportation services, pharmaceutical assistance, mental health initiatives, and much more. We are currently seeking a Front Desk Coordinator to join our Anderson team. In this role, you will play a vital part in ensuring a welcoming, respectful, and well-coordinated experience for all clients accessing services at our Anderson location, supporting Prevention Services, Medical Services, and Client Services. Here is some of what you can expect in this role: You will play a vital role in delivering compassionate, respectful medical care by supporting our providers and ensuring each patient feels welcomed, supported, and treated with dignity. You will guide patients through their care experience—from check-in through follow-up—helping create a seamless, reassuring, and well-coordinated visit. You will help maintain a safe, clean, and well-stocked clinical environment, taking pride in a space that reflects our commitment to quality care and patient well-being. You will accurately document patient encounters and follow-up needs in our electronic medical record system (currently Epic), ensuring continuity of care and clear communication across the care team. You will uphold AID Upstate’s policies and procedures while adhering to all applicable federal, state, and local healthcare regulations and best practices. You will honor the trust placed in you by maintaining the highest standards of confidentiality and HIPAA compliance, both during and after your employment with AID Upstate. Requirements

  • A high school diploma or equivalent; prior front desk, administrative, or medical office experience is strongly preferred.
  • Experience as a Medical Assistant is strongly preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook) and comfort using office equipment such as phones, copiers, and scanners.
  • Strong interpersonal and organizational skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse populations.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and comply with HIPAA regulations during and after employment.
  • A valid South Carolina driver’s license.

Nice To Haves

  • Spanish or other language proficiency is highly desired.
