About The Position

The didgwalic Wellness Center is seeking a positive, customer-service-focused Front Desk Clinical Receptionist to join our integrated care clinic that combines primary care, behavioral health, and opiate treatment all in one place. This role acts as the initial point of contact for patients/clients by performing a variety of clerical and administrative tasks, and occasionally supports Child Watch in overseeing the safety and well-being of children while maintaining a creative and playful atmosphere. Schedule: Monday in our Bellingham location 6am-2pm, and Tuesday through Friday in our Anacortes location 5:30am-1:30pm At didgwálic Wellness Center, we prioritize the well-being of our patients and staff alike. Requirements

  • Knowledge of administrative and clerical procedures and systems such as word processing, managing files and records, transcription, designing forms, and other office procedures and terminology; proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and other related programs
  • Ability to work in a cross-culture environment, learns and is sensitive to the social and cultural context of the patients at the didgwalic Wellness Center
  • Understands and adheres to state (RCW, WAC) and federal confidentiality regulations (HIPAA and 42 CFR part 2)
  • Effective communication: written, verbal, and interpersonal skills, including conflict resolution.
  • Knowledge of basic care principles of infants, toddlers, and pre-school children, including administering to injuries and illnesses common to young children.
  • High school diploma or equivalent is required
  • One to three years of experience working in an administrative role, preferably in a medical environment
  • Strong time management skills and multitasking ability required

Nice To Haves

  • One year of experience with children preferred

Responsibilities

  • Coordinates and schedules appointments for multiple departments
  • Processes, assists, and informs new and existing clients regarding the established treatment process and related requirements, maintaining confidentiality and ensuring full compliance with all HIPAA regulations
  • Utilizes Electronic Health Record (EHR) regularly, and provides training and assistance to clients in the use and functionality of treatment-related technologies
  • Provides back-up care for the Child Watch team, ensuring high standards are maintained during breaks
  • Stays vigilant and ready to implement safety precautions and engage emergency procedures when necessary
