Requirements

  • Education: A high school diploma or GED
  • Soft Skills: Exceptional communication, multitasking, and problem-solving abilities are essential.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency with computers and specialized property management systems (PMS) like Opera or Cloudbeds is often required.

Responsibilities

  • Guest Transactions: Handling the check-in and check-out process, verifying guest identities, issuing key cards, and processing payments for room rates and additional services.
  • Reservation Management: Managing bookings made online, over the phone, or in person, including tracking room availability and assigning rooms.
  • Guest Service & Support: Responding to inquiries about hotel amenities, local attractions, and dining recommendations.
  • Conflict Resolution: Addressing guest complaints, troubleshooting issues (e.g., maintenance requests), and escalating problems to management when necessary.
  • Administrative Tasks: Answering phone calls, managing mail and packages, maintaining lobby cleanliness, and coordinating with departments like housekeeping and maintenance.
