About The Position

The Front Desk Agent at The Townsend Hotel is responsible for providing exceptional guest services, managing reservations, and assisting with concierge duties. This role is crucial in ensuring a welcoming atmosphere for guests and facilitating their needs throughout their stay.

Requirements

  • Excellent customer service skills and a friendly demeanor.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
  • Knowledge of Opera PMS, HotSOS, and Micros systems.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to retain knowledge of local businesses and attractions.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in a hotel or hospitality environment.
  • Familiarity with Open Table booking system.

Responsibilities

  • Provide exemplary guest service and respond promptly to inquiries, directions, requests, and complaints.
  • Assist guests upon arrival and departure, ensuring all check-in/out procedures are followed.
  • Direct incoming phone calls to the correct extensions and act as a lobby greeter.
  • Take room service orders and send them to the kitchen appropriately.
  • Handle reservation calls and manage group reservations and billing.
  • Offer upgrades and upsells when applicable, with complete knowledge of room types and rates.
  • Make restaurant reservations and recommend local attractions and services.
  • Acknowledge and execute guest requests to the best of the hotel's ability.
  • Assist with restaurant reservations and manage seating at the Host Stand.
  • Perform House Car duties and assist with valet cars when necessary.
