About The Position

The Front Desk Agent at Moxy by Marriott Allentown Downtown is responsible for providing professional and courteous service to guests during their stay. This role involves responding to inquiries, managing check-in and check-out procedures, and ensuring guest satisfaction. The position requires open availability, including weekends, and involves a combination of first, mid, and second shifts. The agent must also pass a criminal background check and is provided with free parking and various benefits from day one.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Mathematical aptitude and knowledge of standard cash handling procedures.
  • Stable employment history with experience in face-to-face public interaction.
  • Fluency in oral and written English.
  • Computer literacy and ability to operate standard office equipment.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience in customer service roles.
  • Knowledge of computerized cash register systems.

Responsibilities

  • Greet and complete established check-in procedures for arriving guests.
  • Facilitate guest departure (check-out) by following established computer procedures.
  • Calculate and post monies, receipts, guest accounts, and other forms of credit accurately.
  • Answer inquiries and accept reservations in person and by telephone.
  • Maintain good customer relations by staying informed about in-house and area functions.
  • Operate PBX equipment for incoming and outgoing calls and guest paging.
  • Control cash transactions at the front desk and maintain personal bank responsibility.
  • Process guest mail, messages, and faxes in a timely manner.
  • Contribute to department communications and operations through log books and information sources.
  • Assist other employees and departments to enhance overall hotel performance.
