The Front Desk Agent is responsible for cordially greeting guests, and promptly and professionally checking them in and out of the hotel. This role involves assisting with pre-registration and blocking reservations, accurately posting all charges, and managing cash handling, including receiving payments and making change. The agent must have a complete working knowledge of the Front Office computer or manual system, be familiar with hotel rates and discounts, and understand reservation procedures, including same-day bookings, cancellations, and relocation procedures. A high work ethic, self-initiative, and a team-oriented approach to providing excellent guest experiences are essential.
