About The Position

The Line Cook at DoubleTree Phoenix Midtown is responsible for preparing all menu items according to established recipes and yield guides. This role involves directing, training, and monitoring the performance of other Line Cooks, as well as maintaining the organization, cleanliness, and sanitation of all work areas and equipment. The Line Cook will also prepare and assign production and prep work, review priorities, and communicate any additions or changes to assignments throughout the shift. Key duties include setting up workstations with necessary mis en place, tools, equipment, and supplies, and completing breakdown and closing duties at the end of each day. The Line Cook is also expected to inform the Sous Chef of any required supplies.

Requirements

  • 5 years' experience as a Line Cook at a hotel/resort or restaurant.
  • Ability to work all stations on the line.
  • Food handling certification required.
  • High work ethic and self-initiative

Responsibilities

  • Inform the Sous Chef of any supplies that need to be requisitioned for the day's tasks.
