About The Position

We are currently seeking a Full-Time Telephone Operator to join our team at Salamander Middleburg. The Telephone Operator will play a key role in coordinating guest services, responding to guest requests, and supporting front desk processes to ensure a seamless experience for our guests.

Requirements

  • Experience: Previous experience in a guest services or telephone operations role is preferred, but not required.
  • Skills: Excellent verbal communication, active listening, and customer service skills.
  • Professionalism: Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain a professional demeanor in all interactions.
  • Technology: Comfortable using communication systems and hotel management software.
  • Work Environment: Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

Responsibilities

  • Guest Service Coordination: Act as a dispatcher for security, guest services, tram service, housekeeping, and property operations employees, providing timely communication in response to guest requests.
  • Phone Handling: Answer telephone calls promptly and greet callers with a positive, clear, and professional voice. Listen attentively to ascertain the purpose of the call and ensure an accurate transfer to the correct department.
  • Message Transcription: Accurately transcribe messages as requested, and input and retrieve them as needed. Verbally recite messages to the guest when necessary.
  • Wake-Up Call Coordination: Receive wake-up call requests, accurately input the requested time into the automated system, and confirm times with the guest.
  • Guest Information: Answer basic questions about the resort, its amenities, and operations to avoid unnecessary transfers to other departments.
  • Log Management: Be responsive to guest requests and ensure that all log sheets are accurately completed and filed weekly.
