The Front Desk Agent is responsible for cordially greeting guests and professionally checking them in and out of the hotel. This role involves assisting with pre-registration and blocking reservations, accurately posting all charges, and maintaining a complete working knowledge of the Front Office computer or manual system. The agent will manage cash handling, including receiving payments and making change, and review reservations with special requests to block rooms accordingly. Key responsibilities also include having knowledge of hotel rates and discounts, understanding reservation procedures for same-day bookings, and following cancellation and relocation procedures.
