About The Position

Water's Edge Resort and Spa is accepting applications for a Front Desk Team Member. Front Desk Team Members provide exceptional guest service as the first point of contact for guests, ensuring smooth and efficient check-in and check-out experience. Handle guest inquiries, resolve issues, and create a welcoming and hospitable atmosphere.

Requirements

  • Excellent customer service and communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to handle guest concerns effectively.
  • Flexible schedule as shifts include days, evenings, weekdays, weekends and holidays.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Primarily involves standing for extended periods.
  • Requires manual dexterity for computer use, paperwork, and handling cash transactions.
  • May involve occasional lifting and carrying of light objects (up to 20 lbs).
  • Must be 18 years or older.

Responsibilities

  • Greet guests with a warm and friendly demeanor, offering assistance and anticipating their needs.
  • Efficiently process guest arrivals and departures, including registration, room assignments, and key issuance.
  • Manage guest reservations, confirming bookings, modifying existing reservations, and accommodating special requests.
  • Answer phone calls and emails promptly and professionally, responding to inquiries, providing information, and resolving issues.
  • Provide accurate information about the hotel, its amenities, and local attractions, acting as a knowledgeable resource for guests.
  • Process payments and handle cash transactions, ensuring accuracy and security.
  • Respond to guest complaints and concerns in a timely and professional manner, striving for guest satisfaction and resolution.
  • Maintain a clean and organized front desk area, ensuring a presentable and welcoming environment.
  • Communicate effectively with other departments, such as housekeeping and maintenance, to ensure seamless guest service.
  • Follow all company policies and procedures, upholding the highest standards of professionalism and integrity.
  • Maintain guest confidentiality and data security, adhering to privacy standards.
