About The Position

The Arbor Day Foundation is one of the world's largest conservation organizations, inspiring people to plant, nurture, and celebrate trees. Arbor Day Farm, a 260-acre property, is owned and operated by the Foundation, bringing their mission to life. The Front Desk Agent position at Lied Lodge is crucial for providing excellent guest service, creating positive first impressions, and ensuring smooth and memorable experiences for all guests.

Requirements

• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to provide excellent guest service in person, over the phone, and via email.
• Knowledge of proper telephone etiquette.
• Ability to communicate with housekeeping and maintenance departments for guests' needs.
• Experience with computers.
• Ability to learn the OPERA computer system.
• Experience using Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Basic computer and multi-line phone system skills.
• Positive Attitude.
• Ability to smile and be courteous to guests.
• Be an energetic and optimistic team player with the ability to accept constructive feedback.
• Very detail-oriented with strong organizational, time management, and planning skills.
• Ability to handle busy situations and multitask.
• Must be available to work 2nd shift: 3:00-11:00 PM.
• Weekend availability.

Responsibilities

• Provide critical first impressions and passionate, warm, welcoming, and world-class service to all guests.
• Enjoy starting conversations with new guests.
• Register guests, assign rooms, accommodate special requests, and ensure smooth, memorable experiences.
• Work as a team and individually to create a fun work environment with teamwork at the forefront to ensure a positive experience for guests.
