About The Position

The Front Desk Agent at Travelodge By Wyndham Downtown Chicago is responsible for creating an exceptional experience for guests during their stay. This role involves direct interaction with guests at check-in and check-out, ensuring their needs are met and expectations exceeded. The agent must maintain a welcoming atmosphere, provide accurate information, and handle various guest requests efficiently while promoting teamwork and a positive work environment.

Requirements

  • 1 year of hotel experience preferred.
  • Ability to work flexible shifts including day, evening, and night shifts.
  • Experience using Opera Cloud PMS is a plus.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in customer service roles.
  • Ability to handle difficult guest issues effectively.

Responsibilities

  • Create an amazing experience for guests during check-in and check-out.
  • Provide eye contact, smile, and use a welcoming tone when interacting with guests.
  • Ensure accurate, quick, and efficient check-in and check-out processes.
  • Anticipate guests' needs and exceed their expectations during their stay.
  • Answer all calls within three rings with a friendly demeanor.
  • Maintain knowledge of local area attractions and directions.
  • Promote teamwork and maintain a positive work environment.
  • Complete onboarding and training within 30 days.
  • Communicate effectively with team members across shifts.
  • Ensure safety and security of guests and team members at all times.
  • Assist with sales and marketing efforts as directed by management.
