About The Position

French Teacher Weymouth Public Schools is a dynamic and inclusive learning community dedicated to "Educational Excellence for Every Weymouth Student." We educate over 5,600 students in 11 school buildings, including Weymouth Early Childhood Center, eight elementary schools (grades K-5), Chapman Middle School (grades 6-8), and Weymouth High School (Grades 9-12). Requirements

Must be licensed with the Department of Elementary and Secondary Education- World Language, French 5-12
SEI Endorsement required
Must hold a bachelor's degree or higher.

Responsibilities

Guides and evaluates the learning experience of the students in her/his classes and accepts responsibility for activities of students within her/his purview within the school building or on the school grounds.
Instructs to the best of her/his ability
Participates in faculty meetings and workshops
Provides, when necessary, instructional help outside the regular student day within bounds established by the collective bargaining agreement
Participates in curriculum planning and professional development a ctivities
Prepares records and reports as
Provides for the care and protection of school property
Keeps records and all books , supplies, and equipment in her/his c lassroom
Accepts instructional and non - instructional assignments as provided for in the collective bargaining agreement
Executes School Committee policy
