French Reading Interventionist
About The Position
The French Reading Interventionist will coordinate the French reading and intervention programs, including but not limited to: assessment and progress monitoring, data collection and analysis, and creation of improvement plans. This position will also provide direct support to students via small groups or push-in support. This person will also facilitate training or professional development for the K-5 French team Status of Position This is a full-time position with Académie Lafayette. This is an exempt position pursuant to the U.S. Department of Labor. Reporting The French Reading Interventionist reports to their campus/building principal.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in French, elementary education or related field
- Hold or be eligible for a Missouri teaching certificate or certificate in home country
- Proven experience as a teacher
- Must pass a state and federal fingerprint background check through MACHS.
- Must be registered or get registered with the Family Care Safety Registry.
Responsibilities
- Provide research-based direct instruction in small intervention groups
- Participate in ongoing professional development in reading instruction
- Assist building principal in coordination of school assessment and intervention plans
- Provide support to grade level teachers in strategies to support at-risk students
- Work collaboratively with the building team to provide parent support and education
- Maintain, analyze and disseminate student data
- Create and maintain improvement plans
- Collaborate with district intervention team and leadership
- Participate in district staff development committee
- Other responsibilities as assigned by principal
