About The Position

In this role, you will report to the Onsite Manager and will work closely with the Avantor’s Advanced Laboratory Services professionals to serve our customers by performing customized, mission-based lab work and research protocols that help return time back to science. Requirements

High School Diploma or GED required; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree preferred.
1–3 years of laboratory experience in sample handling, inventory management, or logistics coordination.
Experience working in cold storage environments (e.g., -80°C freezers) and handling frozen biological or chemical materials.
Familiarity with hazardous chemical handling protocols and proper use of PPE.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel for data tracking, reporting, and inventory management.
Experience with inventory management systems such as Mosaic or other LIMS (Laboratory Information Management Systems).
Strong attention to detail in labeling, documentation, and sample traceability.
Ability to follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and maintain compliance with lab safety standards.
Effective communication skills for coordinating with cross-functional teams and responding to sample requests.
Collaboration tool experience (Microsoft Teams preferred).

Responsibilities

Prepare and allocate shipments; ensure samples and paperwork are dock-ready.
Communicate with senders, receivers, and dock staff to confirm details and resolve issues.
Maintain daily whiteboard updates and track shipment volume.
Calibrate lab instruments (pH meters, conductivity meters, scales) daily.
Ensure availability of buffer and storage solutions; log results in Excel.
Conduct lab walkthroughs to identify incoming shipments and update inventory.
Return shipping materials and monitor freezer/refrigerator storage capacity.
Maintain manual logs for sample types and available slots.
Process internal sample requests via email; label and package materials accurately.
Respond to inquiries and clarify sample requests.
Maintain lab supplies and perform freezer maintenance as needed.
Update request logs and inventory systems.
Track daily metrics in Excel for monthly reporting.
