Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in journalism or related field, or equivalent experience
• Previous internship or job experience in related roles
• Passion for the weather domain; previous experience is a plus
• Ability to meet tight deadlines and handle multiple tasks effectively
• Proficient with social media
• Exceptional communication skills to work in collaboration with team members

Responsibilities

• Actively pitch a variety of stories from breaking weather news to features on weather-related themes
• Assist our production team in building segments, managing breaking news, and handling long-term projects
• Find the best sound bites, video, and graphics to create compelling segments
• Write banners, edit video, and occasionally book guests, all while quickly responding to breaking weather news
• Quickly identify strong user-generated content from multiple sources, ensuring the best elements are incorporated into FOX Weather coverage
