Freelance Audiovisual Linguist for QCing Subtitles in Albanian

We seek Audiovisual Quality Control linguists, who are native Albanian speakers, to join a dedicated team working on content for one of the world’s largest online streaming clients. In this role, you’ll perform quality checks on localized audio-visual movie trailer assets to ensure linguistic accuracy, cultural relevance, and compliance with client-specific guidelines.
Requirements
- Native fluency in Albanian
- High level of English
- Subtitling experience
- Be comfortable working with subtitling software
- Strong attention to detail
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
- Available to work on the weekends sometimes
Nice To Haves
- Familiarity using Jira, an asset management tool.
- Experience working in VLC Player or SubtitleEdit.
- Prior experience in audio visual quality control.
Responsibilities
- Reviewing subtitles, dubbing scripts, or voice-over recordings.
- Identifying and reporting errors in grammar, spelling, syntax, or context.
- Ensuring adherence to style guides and maintaining consistency in tone and terminology.
