FreeCAD BIM/IFC Specialist - AI Trainer
About The Position
Handshake is looking for skilled FreeCAD BIM/IFC users to support AI research through flexible, hourly contract work. This is not a traditional job. You'll draw on your hands-on experience with parametric 3D building modeling, IFC data management, or BIM coordination to evaluate AI-generated content and provide feedback that helps AI better understand computational design tasks and AEC workflows. This is an ongoing, project-based opportunity you can take on alongside anything else you have going on. Who This Is For This is a good fit if you're an experienced FreeCAD BIM/IFC user who has worked in or around roles like: Computational Designer or BIM Coordinator Structural Engineer or Revit Specialist BIM Facilitator or Digital Delivery Manager You should have solid experience with one or more of the following: Parametric 3D building modeling or IFC data management using FreeCAD BIM/IFC BIM coordination, building data workflows, or ArchiCAD and Revit workflows Annotating or labeling BIM models and AEC data assets Reviewing parametric models for accuracy, data integrity, or design consistency
Requirements
- At least 3+ years of hands-on experience with FreeCAD BIM/IFC, whether through professional work or freelance projects
- A working knowledge of parametric modeling, IFC standards, and BIM coordination workflows
- Strong written communication skills and attention to detail
- The ability to work independently and follow written guidelines
Responsibilities
- Use your experience with FreeCAD BIM/IFC to create tool-related questions
- Review AI-generated responses for accuracy and relevance to real-world computational design and BIM coordination workflows
