As part of the Financial Crimes and Fraud Prevention organization, this role manages and executes the first party fraud analytics and strategies supporting Citi’s North American and global credit card businesses. This includes leveraging data to identify fraud trends then designing and implementing strategies to prevent and mitigate fraud attacks across the full fraud lifecycle including application and synthetic ID fraud, and sophisticated new attack schemes. This role partners closely with Credit Risk Policy, Fraud Policy, Operations, Technology and various partners to keep apprised of business and technology direction to determine potential and existing fraud impacts. The Business Analytics Sr Analyst is a seasoned professional role who applies in-depth disciplinary knowledge, contributing to the development of new techniques and the improvement of processes for the area or function. Requires understanding of how credit card works and integrates and contributes to the objectives of the function and overall business. Requires good analytical skills in order to filter, prioritize and validate potentially complex and dynamic material from multiple sources. Excellent communication and diplomacy skills are required. Regularly assumes informal/formal leadership role within teams.
