About The Position

Surface Experts is a rapidly growing franchise system with new franchises joining our system each month. We care about our people and want them to love where they work and who they work with. As our system grows, we’re looking for a business-minded Franchise Business Coach based on the East Coast to work directly with franchise owners, challenge their thinking, and drive meaningful business results. The Franchise Business Coach is a key partner to franchise owners and a primary connection to Surface Experts HQ. This role is focused on improving performance, driving accountability, and helping owners execute against clear business priorities. You’ll work closely with franchisees to strengthen sales, profitability, operations, and team performance while ensuring alignment with brand standards. This is not a reactive support role. It’s a hands-on coaching position centered on execution, follow-through, and results.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in franchise operations, small business ownership, or multi-unit management
  • Direct experience working within a franchise system (corporate, field support, or franchisee side)
  • Strong business and financial acumen
  • Proven experience coaching, advising, or leading others to measurable results
  • Ability to evaluate performance, prioritize issues, and drive accountability
  • Strong relationship and communication skills, including the ability to have tough conversations when needed

Responsibilities

  • Coach franchise owners to improve financial performance, sales growth, and operational execution
  • Use KPIs and financials to assess performance, identify gaps, and drive action
  • Hold franchisees accountable to goals, commitments, and brand standards
  • Support owners across core business areas including sales, staffing, training, retention, and goal setting
  • Help franchisees consistently implement Surface Experts systems and processes
  • Ensure franchisee compliance with brand standards and address issues when needed
  • Identify trends across the system and share insights with senior leadership
  • Facilitate collaboration and sharing of best practices across franchisees
  • Problem-solve alongside owners and identify practical, scalable solutions
