About The Position

We're looking for a fractional CFO to serve as a strategic finance partner to our executive team. We have a strong Finance Director who owns the operational finance function. This role is focused on the strategic layer: helping our leadership team frame the financial dimensions of our biggest decisions, guiding our capital strategy, and bringing an external network and pattern recognition built from experience. You'll join our leadership rhythm on a regular cadence (weekly with the exec team, quarterly board prep) and serve as a thinking partner on the decisions that matter most. Specifically: Help the exec team evaluate where to invest, where to pull back, and how to think about growth versus efficiency at our stage Guide our capital strategy across the full range of options Partner with our Finance Director as a thought partner who sharpens strategic thinking and elevates the team’s work with the exec team and board Grow relationships across banking partners, investors, corporate development contacts, and advisors who've guided companies through similar inflection points Help shape board materials and be available for board conversations when financial strategy is on the agenda You've been the CFO, VP Finance, or Head of Finance at one or more venture-backed SaaS companies through the $10M to $100M ARR range. You've been in the room for consequential decisions and you've helped leadership teams navigate them with clarity. You've likely done several of the following: Led or been deeply involved in fundraising (Series B through growth rounds) and can speak fluently about term sheets, investor dynamics, and the tradeoffs founders make Evaluated or participated in key company events and understand what makes a company attractive, how to run a process, and when to walk away Worked with venture debt providers and understand when debt is smart capital and when it creates more risk than it solves Built or refined the financial operating cadence for a scaling SaaS company and know which metrics actually drive decisions You've chosen the fractional model intentionally. You're comfortable with founder-led company dynamics. You understand SaaS economics deeply (unit economics, cohort analysis, net revenue retention, CAC payback, Rule of 40) and use them as real analytical tools. You have a network in the SaaS and venture ecosystem that opens doors when we need introductions.

Requirements

  • You've been the CFO, VP Finance, or Head of Finance at one or more venture-backed SaaS companies through the $10M to $100M ARR range.
  • You've been in the room for consequential decisions and you've helped leadership teams navigate them with clarity.
