FP&A Manager

About The Position

As FP&A Manager, you will serve as the strategic finance partner to our G&A functions — Legal, People, and Finance — helping leaders make confident, data-driven decisions as Handshake scales. This is a high-impact role with direct exposure to executive stakeholders and the opportunity to build financial infrastructure from the ground up.

Requirements

  • 4+ years of FP&A, strategic finance, or corporate finance experience, preferably in a SaaS environment
  • Strong Excel modeling skills, including headcount, opex, and variance analysis
  • Solid understanding of SaaS KPIs, GAAP fundamentals, and P&L structure
  • Experience owning a full forecast cycle — from building the model to presenting to stakeholders
  • Track record of improving forecast accuracy and building repeatable financial processes
  • Comfortable partnering directly with business leaders and translating complex data into clear recommendations
  • Ability to manage multiple workstreams and meet deadlines in a high-growth environment

Nice To Haves

  • Big 4 public accounting or investment banking background
  • Experience supporting G&A functions (HR/People, Legal, Finance)
  • Familiarity with Salesforce, NetSuite, Adaptive, or similar FP&A tools

Responsibilities

  • Own headcount and opex forecasting for G&A cost centers to drive budget accountability across Legal, People, and Finance leadership
  • Lead monthly variance analysis and business reviews to surface actionable insights that sharpen G&A spend decisions
  • Build driver-based operating models that improve forecast accuracy and support annual planning and quarterly reforecasts
  • Partner with Accounting on month-end close and roll-forward processes to ensure timely, accurate G&A reporting
