About The Position

Cabinetworks Group is seeking a Financial Analyst Intern to join their corporate finance team. Interns will gain an understanding of a Financial Analyst role in a corporate setting, receive exposure to leadership and coaching, and see their tactical efforts support broader strategic goals. They will have the opportunity to participate in projects across a variety of finance disciplines. In addition to gaining valuable experience, Cabinetworks Group offers interns networking, mentoring, and community service opportunities. Cabinetworks Group is America’s largest privately held cabinetmaker, with nearly 6,000 employees in 17 locations, including 15 manufacturing facilities. They design and manufacture a comprehensive choice of kitchen cabinets through 15 brands, including KraftMaid®, Medallion®, and Merillat®. Requirements

  • Junior or Senior status at an accredited university by Summer of 2024
  • Pursuing a degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite of products, including an advanced knowledge of excel.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills

Nice To Haves

  • Ability to function at a high level of effectiveness, flexibility, independence and initiative.
  • Ability to retrieve financial data from Oracle BI and update excel spreadsheets.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to interact with consolidations and functional department owners.
  • Ability to organize and prioritize work to ensure timely deadlines.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with the preparation of the 6+6 forecast and annual budget process.
  • Retrieve functional spend detail by account from Oracle BI and update functional templates.
  • Assist the corporate tax team in managing our sales and use tax software.
  • Validate business intelligence data, identify issues and develop corrective actions.
  • Create value-added enhancements to existing reports and processes.
