Job Summary The Financial Planning & Analysis, Analyst IV is responsible for the preparation, coordination, and documentation of financial analysis projects such as financial and expense performance, rate of return, depreciation, working capital, and investments. Provides analysis for forward- looking financial and business-related projects. Prepares forecasts and analysis of trends in manufacturing, sales, finance, general business conditions and other related areas. Responsible of reconciliation of internal accounts.

Requirements

  • 4-year degree from an accredited university in Accounting, Business, Finance or related field OR a combination of education and relevant experience
  • A minimum of 7 years of experience in Finance or Accounting
  • US Citizenship is required
  • Proven experience as a Cost Analyst, Cost Specialist or similar role
  • Expert in data, operational and financial analysis, Knowledge of accounting processes and software
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite including; Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook and Teams
  • Ability to work independently
  • Must possess strong analytical skills and have a high attention to detail
  • Proven troubleshooting skills and problem-solving ability

Responsibilities

  • Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting, forecasting (net bookings, revenue, OI/fee and cash), and effectively managing financial risks and opportunities.
  • Collaborate with program team and across Sparton functions to define program goals, establish budget, and prepare and maintain EAC.
  • Make recommendations to leadership for making business decisions
  • Coordinate all aspects of annual planning and quarterly forecast processes, including review of summary financials, establishing timelines, preparing presentations for management and oversight of submissions and commentary
  • Plan and support long range financial plans that are consistent with both short-term and long-term corporate objectives
  • Create robust internal reporting to provide necessary information to senior management and program stakeholders
  • Provide management with timely, accurate, and insightful financial analysis to monitor financial results and enable strategic decision-making.
  • Support ad-hoc cost reporting and performance analysis
  • Develop and evaluate financial models, assumptions for reasonableness and accuracy for data-based decisions and projections
  • Assist in providing regular financial guidance to and interaction with other personnel and functions in order to improve operating results, measure performance and promote compliance with established policies and procedures.
  • Daily maintenance and management of Oracle Projects, including deliverables, budgets, forecasts, and Reporting results
  • Coordinates and implements system and process changes for continuous improvement.
