Sidwell Friends School, a coeducational Quaker day school, seeks a dynamic, collaborative, and student-centered Fourth Grade Classroom Teacher to join its Lower School faculty for the 20262027 school year. The successful candidate will co-lead a homeroom of 2224 students with a teaching partner, sharing responsibility for all areas of instruction. As a member of a six-person fourth-grade teaching team, this educator will help shape a vibrant program grounded in academic rigor, joyful discovery, and deep respect for each childs inherent worth and unique learning journey. Our Lower School program is rooted in the Quaker belief in the Inner Light of each person. We strive to create joyful, rigorous learning environments where students feel known, challenged, and supported as learners and community members.
