The second shift foundry supervisor will lead a skilled manufacturing team of over 30 staff members. This role involves organizing resources and processes to meet daily and weekly targets, with a focus on directing, rewarding, disciplining, training, and supporting team members on the factory floor.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university, six years of relevant foundry supervisory experience and/or training, or a combination of both.
  • Proven supervisory experience with strong problem-solving and process standardization skills.
  • Excellent coaching and communication abilities.
  • Proficiency in navigating SAP and Microsoft tools.
  • Comprehensive understanding of production planning processes.
  • Strong strategic planning capabilities.
  • Ability to address complex issues across multiple departments.

Responsibilities

  • Upholding a clean and safe work environment.
  • Collaborating with the maintenance team on equipment breakdowns and repairs.
  • Supporting manufacturing staff in achieving goals through clear communication and performance evaluation.
  • Promoting personal growth opportunities for employees and resolving disputes among manufacturing staff.
  • Identifying and addressing process bottlenecks.
  • Analyze production records for continuous improvement and follow up on improvement projects.
  • Enforcing company policies and ensuring adherence to production schedules.
  • Maintaining professional schedules and assisting other departments as needed.
  • Evaluating production equipment conditions.
  • Developing and delivering training programs for both classroom and shop floor settings.
  • Counseling employees for optimal workflow and implementing cost-saving strategies.
  • Flexibility to work various shifts and perform additional duties as management assigns.
