About The Position

Tyler Union, a division of McWane, Inc., is the nation's leading manufacturer of Ductile Iron Waterworks Fittings and Appurtenances has an immediate opening for a Foundry Production Supervisor for its Anniston main manufacturing facility. Production Supervisor will directly supervise, coordinate, and plan production for operations at molding lines, core machines, finishing operations, or melt operations in a ductile iron foundry producing pipe fittings for the waterworks industry. Integrate safety, environmental, quality, and human resources support into all production operations. Requirements

Bachelor's degree from four-year College or university preferred.
Three (3) of manufacturing experience, on-the-job training, and/or vocational training required.
An equivalent combination of education and experience required.

Responsibilities

Follow all processes and procedures associated with the Tyler Union Safety Management Program. Always adhere to Company safety rules and regulations and work safely.

Oversee the day-to-day functions supporting the operation and direct the activities of team members engaged in the production area.
Facilitate daily startup meetings with the team while promoting safety and unity.
Plan and establish work schedules, assignments, and production sequences to meet production goals.
Ensure quality processes are in place and effective.
Confer and collaborate with other supervisors and manage to ensure seamless communication and effective transition of products and activities. Inspect materials, products, or equipment to detect defects or malfunctions.
Conduct team member training in equipment operations and work and safety procedures.
Read and analyze charts, work orders, production schedules, and other records to determine production requirements and to evaluate current production estimates and outputs.
Maintain operations data, such as time, production, and cost records, and prepare management reports of production results.
Confer with management or human resources to resolve worker problems, complaints, or grievances.
Recommend or implement measures to motivate team members and to improve production methods, equipment performance, product quality, and efficiency.
Monitor electronic time and attendance schedules for assigned team members and their clocking in and out.
Observe team member behavior, research actions, document and recommend discipline for actions inconsistent with General Company Rules and standard business practices.
Issue disciplines within established time periods.
Required to work in shifts as assigned.
