About The Position

Thorin is an applied AI company born out of 8VC’s Build program, focused on redefining how work gets done inside modern organizations. We build proactive, long-horizon AI agents that continuously observe work across Slack, email, meetings, and documents—and take action so nothing falls through the cracks. Unlike traditional AI tools that wait for prompts or rely on structured systems, Thorin creates a real-time digital twin of how a business actually operates, enabling automation, coordination, and insight over months and years. Backed by 8VC and built with product vision from Joe Lonsdale, Thorin is building foundational infrastructure for agentic, AI-powered productivity. We’re hiring a Founding GTM Lead to own Thorin’s go-to-market motion from zero to one. This is a hands-on, high-ownership role for someone who thrives in early-stage environments and wants to shape pricing, positioning, sales motion, and early customer relationships. You’ll work directly with the founding team to translate product capabilities into clear customer value, land design partners, close early customers, and build the foundation for a scalable GTM engine. This role is ideal for someone who blends product intuition, commercial instincts, and executional grit.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in early-stage GTM roles (founding AE, first sales hire, GTM lead, or similar)
  • Experience selling B2B SaaS or AI-native products, ideally to technical or operations-heavy teams
  • Strong discovery skills — you know how to uncover real pain and translate it into urgency
  • Comfort operating without a playbook and building systems from scratch
  • Clear communicator with strong written and verbal storytelling ability
  • Bias toward action, ownership, and learning through iteration

Nice To Haves

  • Experience selling workflow automation, productivity, or AI-driven tools
  • Background working with startups at seed or Series A
  • Familiarity with enterprise or mid-market buying cycles

Responsibilities

  • Own Thorin’s end-to-end GTM strategy, from initial ICP definition to repeatable sales motion
  • Identify, recruit, and manage early design partners and lighthouse customers
  • Lead early customer conversations — discovery, demos, pilots, and closes
  • Shape positioning, messaging, and pricing based on real customer feedback
  • Partner closely with engineering and product to inform roadmap and prioritization
  • Build early sales infrastructure: CRM, pipelines, metrics, and feedback loops
  • Develop early enablement materials (pitch, demo narratives, onboarding flows)
  • Help determine when and how to scale sales, marketing, and partnerships
