About The Position

Our client, a new FinTech company who gives hedge funds unbiased, unfiltered stock analysis from anonymous analysts at well-known funds is actively seeking a Founding Engineer to join and grow with their team. We need a Founding Engineer with a strong background in full-stack development, particularly with React, Next.js, TypeScript, FastAPI, Python, and PostgreSQL. You should be comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-growth startup environment and have a track record of building scalable and robust systems. Bonus points if you have experience with AWS and Terraform.

Requirements

• 1 - 6 years of experience as a full-stack engineer
• Experience in big tech or VC0backed startups (early stage preferred)
• Founding experience at non-VC backed startups should be complimented by top 10-CS school
• Familiarity with managing infrastructure (AWS preferred)
• Proficiency in Python and JavaScript
• Experience with LLMs
• Entrepreneurial and scrappy mindset
• Future founder aspiration is a positive signal

Responsibilities

• Take ownership of significant parts of the product and infrastructure, driving development from conception to deployment.
• Work closely with the founding team to define product roadmaps and technical architecture.
• Develop and maintain both frontend and backend systems, ensuring high performance and responsiveness.
• Lead initiatives to scale our platform to support a rapidly growing user base of hedge funds.
• Implement best practices for code quality, testing, and deployment.
• Contribute to a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
