About The Position

Celebree School™ is opening a brand-new preschool in the Fulshear/Katy area, and we are seeking an exceptional, highly experienced Founding Assistant Director to partner closely with the Founding Director in launching, building, and leading this school into excellence. This is not a typical Assistant Director role — this is a ground-up leadership opportunity to help shape culture, build a high-performing team, elevate family experience, and ensure operational excellence from day one.

Requirements

  • Minimum Associate’s Degree required; Bachelor’s Degree preferred
  • Texas Director Certificate strongly preferred
  • 10+ years of experience in an early childhood center
  • 7+ years in a leadership, supervisory, or management role
  • Strong understanding of Texas Licensing and early childhood best practices
  • Exceptional communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills
  • Ability to build trust, lead with empathy, and support a high-performing team
  • CPR/First Aid & Food Handler’s certification (or ability to obtain)

Nice To Haves

  • Bilingual (English & Spanish) is a significant plus
  • Familiarity with Fulshear/Katy community preferred

Responsibilities

  • Talent & Culture: Attract, hire, and retain top early childhood professionals. Lead coaching, mentoring, and training to support career growth and high performance. Foster a positive, inclusive, and team-oriented culture that drives engagement and reduces turnover.
  • Community Building: Build strong, trusting relationships with families, team members, and the local community. Represent Celebree with professionalism and warmth at all times. Support enrollment growth through high-quality tours, events, and community outreach.
  • Operational Excellence: Ensure strict compliance with all state licensing regulations, health and safety standards, and Celebree policies and procedures. Support daily operational management including scheduling, staffing, financial documentation, and recordkeeping. Ensure the school environment is clean, welcoming, safe, and set up for success every day.
  • Customer Experience: Deliver exceptional service to families through consistent communication, availability, and responsiveness. Lead tours that highlight Celebree’s values, curriculum, and high-quality care. Handle escalations with professionalism, empathy, and confidence.
  • Leadership & Innovation: Collaborate with the School Director to execute school-wide goals, new initiatives, and company-wide programs. Serve as a key decision-maker and role model for children, families, and staff. Step confidently into leadership responsibilities when Director is unavailable.
