The Role: As a Founding Account Executive at Airbyte, you will be one of the first sales hires dedicated to our new agentic data infrastructure product. Working directly with Airbyte's CEO, you will own the full customer journey end to end, from identifying and prospecting early adopters to closing deals and ensuring successful onboarding. This is a ground-floor opportunity to shape the go-to-market motion for a new product category while building the playbook that future sales hires will follow.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of customer-facing sales or business development experience, including 1+ year in a closing role as an Account Executive.
  • An entrepreneurial, builder mentality. You're energized by ambiguity, comfortable without a polished playbook, and motivated by the challenge of selling something new.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to clearly articulate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical buyers.
  • Familiarity with modern GTM tools such as Salesforce, Outreach, Common Room, or Nooks, or a demonstrated ability to ramp quickly and leverage AI as part of your daily workflow.
  • A consistent, disciplined approach to high-volume prospecting, while maintaining relevance and quality across cold calls, emails, and follow-ups.
  • Comfort operating in a fast-paced, early-stage environment where you'll need to wear multiple hats and move quickly.

Responsibilities

  • Work directly with Airbyte's CEO to identify, engage, and close our first customers for our new agentic data infrastructure product.
  • Own the entire sales cycle from prospecting through close, including discovery, demos, negotiations, and onboarding handoff.
  • Build and refine the sales playbook from scratch, defining ideal customer profiles, objection handling, and pricing conversations based on what you learn in the field.
  • Work closely with Marketing and BDRs to prospect into AI-native companies and enterprise teams building AI agents.
  • Develop deep product expertise and become a trusted advisor to prospects navigating the emerging agent data infrastructure landscape.
  • Gather and share customer insights with Marketing, Product, and Engineering teams to directly influence product roadmap and positioning.
  • Represent the voice of the customer internally, helping shape how Airbyte talks about and sells this new product category.
